Japan earthquake epicenter of 20.03.21
Today, March 20, 2021, at 09:09 UTC (18:09 local time and 10:09 Italian time), a magnitude Mwp 7.0 earthquake was recorded offshore in the North Pacific Ocean (Lat. 38.38, 141.59 ) off the east coast of Honshū province, at a depth of about 65 km.
The Japan Metereological Agency and the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (external link) issued a local tsunami alert for possible sea level changes of 0.3 to 1m in height on the coast of Miyagi Prefecture, which was later revoked.
